This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.
• Achieve or surpass company sales targets for the designated territory in Birmingham, Alabama.
• Develop and uphold account and territory plans to set and meet sales goals.
• Cultivate and nurture a customer-focused culture by building relationships with physicians and hospital stakeholders.
• Commit to ongoing professional development in areas such as results orientation, product approval processes, territory expansion, and clinical expertise.
• Share best practices and innovative ideas with team members.
• Utilize computer-based customer and account management systems to monitor contacts, activities, and follow-ups.
• Complete activity reports and monthly/quarterly business reviews in a timely manner.
• Support trade show exhibits and participate in company-sponsored sales meetings.
• Collaborate with surgeons to enhance visibility through SPR presentations at Grand Rounds, journal clubs, and poster sessions.
• Identify cases for case studies, white papers, and additions to the video library.
• Engage in project team activities.
• Coordinate and facilitate the product approval processes within hospitals.
• Identify additional target hospitals and physicians in the territory.
• Assist in training surgeons and hospital staff.
• Engage in extensive travel during the day, with occasional overnight and weekend travel.
• Minimum of 3 years of sales experience, ideally in orthopedic or medical device sales.
• Bachelor’s degree required; a degree in a related field is preferred.
• Ability to sell innovative products through a conceptual approach.
• Proven success in a start-up environment and/or in launching new products.
• Strong skills in customer and account profiling.
• A history of consistently surpassing sales goals and leading team leaderboards.
• Strong professional references that attest to the respect of former supervisors and top-tier customers.
• Entrepreneurial mindset, high initiative, and a self-directed approach.
• Essential customer service skills and experience.
• Effective team player and strong self-starter with consensus-building abilities.
• Capable of assessing communication and advertising materials and making recommendations.
• Experience in creating and implementing tools for accurate feedback on business requirements and enhancements.
• Proficient in articulating customer needs within the organization.
• Ability to foresee the timing and necessity for new promotional materials.
• Effective communication skills via phone and email for company management.
• Comfortable in a start-up atmosphere and willing to adapt to a larger, more structured organization.
• Ability to work effectively in a virtual setting, whether from home or a centrally located office.
• Flexibility in working hours based on project and customer requirements.
• Frequent daytime travel with occasional overnight and weekend commitments.
• Must uphold current RepTrax and similar third-party accreditation standards for access to target accounts.
