This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Acquire new retirement plan sales through financial advisors in a specified geographic area.
• Enhance JULY’s brand presence and sales within the territory by cultivating and managing relationships with retirement plan advisors and essential partners.
• Emphasize face-to-face meetings and interactions rather than virtual engagements.
• Concentrate initially on the core “backyard” territory, then strategically expand into the two closest major metropolitan areas.
• Engage with advisors and sponsors to identify their needs, create solutions, and act as the plan design and technical authority during sales discussions.
• Collaborate with the Internal Sales Specialist on managing the sales pipeline, conducting client consultations, and completing client documentation.
• Work alongside JULY’s Channel Sales team to strengthen advisor relationships and follow up on opportunities generated through the channel.
• Take part in marketing efforts, including presentations at local, regional, and virtual events.
• Travel for client meetings and company functions, which may involve local vehicle trips and occasional air travel.
• Achieve or surpass an initial annual sales target of $350,000–$400,000 in first-year new business revenue.
• Grow regional sales over a period of 2 to 3 years to a target of $550,000–$650,000.
• Monitor and manage the sales pipeline and sales activities.
• Report directly to JULY’s Senior Vice President of Sales.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in retirement plan sales.
• In-depth expertise in the retirement plan industry.
• Knowledge of retirement plan design, retirement products, and investments.
• Strong verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills that are professional and concise.
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships, with outstanding interpersonal and relationship management skills.
• Self-motivated, resourceful, and solution-oriented individual who excels when working independently.
• Reliable, credible, trustworthy, people-centric, and a team player with a positive mindset.
• Experience in open-architecture 401(k) sales is advantageous.
• Bachelor’s Degree and QPFC, QKA, or equivalent designation, or a commitment to obtain within 18 months.
• Willingness to travel 20–30% of the time.
• Ability to operate primarily within a designated geographic area.
