Regional Safety, Compliance, Loss Prevention Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Implement and continually enhance Stord’s health, safety, security, compliance, and loss prevention initiatives across designated fulfillment and warehouse locations.

• Convert enterprise standards into uniform execution at the site level across regional facilities.

• Recruit, onboard, mentor, and lead site-level safety and loss prevention specialists.

• Establish performance expectations, provide coaching, offer feedback, and formulate succession plans.

• Organize regional meetings, facilitate knowledge sharing, and promote collaborative problem-solving.

• Conduct or supervise facility safety audits, gap assessments, corrective action tracking, and incident inquiries.

• Assist site leaders and operations teams in integrating safety into daily operations and leadership routines.

• Represent the region in enterprise safety discussions and communicate trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement to the Head of HSS.

• Coordinate peak readiness assessments and prepare for HSS readiness for new site launches.

• Lead the regional loss prevention strategy, shrink reduction objectives, security measures, and investigative outcomes.

• Manage inquiries related to theft, fraud, and inventory inconsistencies, escalating to HR, Legal, or law enforcement as necessary.

• Analyze loss trends and implement root-cause resolutions through operational and procedural enhancements.

• Oversee CCTV, access control, physical security standards, and inventory protection measures.

• Cultivate relationships with carrier partners, vendors, and law enforcement representatives.

• Collaborate with Operations and Finance to assess and report on shrink, damage, and loss impacts.

• Ensure adherence to OSHA, state, and local regulations.

• Act as the regional contact for regulatory inspections and coordinate necessary corrective actions.

• Track regulatory changes and update procedures in conjunction with the Head of HSS.

• Supervise Hazmat compliance, including storage, labeling, training, and incident reporting.

• Prepare for customer-mandated certifications such as GMP, GDP, CTPAT, or TAPA.

• Own regional safety and loss prevention KPIs, providing regular reports to the Head of HSS and regional operations leadership.

• Drive trend analysis, manage corrective action workflows, and promote near-miss and hazard reporting.

• Partner with Ops Excellence to incorporate improvements into standard operating procedures.

• Support automation and equipment commissioning from a safety standpoint.

• Ensure staffing and program coverage keep pace with the growth of the regional network.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in health and safety, loss prevention, or operations compliance.

• At least 3 years of direct people management experience, demonstrating a record of hiring and developing high-performing teams.

• Experience managing multiple sites in 3PL, eCommerce fulfillment, distribution, or manufacturing settings.

• Proven expertise in loss prevention investigations, shrink management, or asset protection within a high-volume logistics or retail environment.

• Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA standards, specific state safety regulations, and compliance program management.

• Practical experience overseeing physical security systems, including CCTV, access control, and inventory protection protocols.

• Familiarity with methodologies for incident investigation and corrective action systems.

• Comfort with Hazmat regulations and the handling of controlled substances in a warehouse or fulfillment context.

• Experience leveraging safety and loss prevention data to inform operational decisions.

• Willingness to be based in Atlanta or Charlotte, North Carolina.

• Availability to travel 40–50% of the time.

• ASP, CSP, or equivalent safety certification, or currently pursuing one (preferred).

• Wicklander-Zulawski (WZ), Reid Technique, or equivalent interviewing certification (preferred).

• Background in Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement (a plus).

• Familiarity with CTPAT, TAPA, or SOC-related security standards (a plus).

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to convey metrics into clear narratives and actionable plans.

• Skill in prioritizing competing demands, escalating when necessary, and maintaining team focus under pressure.
