This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Italy, +2 more countries.
• Assist the commercial team in the EMEA Region and aid in the implementation of the regional Inorganics strategy.
• Act as a liaison between central product management and regional sales and marketing teams.
• Furnish product expertise, competitive response capabilities, and local market insights to field teams.
• Evaluate win/loss data and gather regional voice-of-customer feedback.
• Drive demand creation activities, monitor regional KPIs, and execute financial performance initiatives.
• Offer real-time product expertise to regional sales teams, aid in customer demonstrations, and engage in key account meetings.
• Oversee regional competitive responses to competitor product launches, pricing adjustments, and customer claims.
• Assist sales management with product mix analysis, forecasting contributions, and portfolio utilization data.
• Involve in distributor management through product training, commercial support, and competitive tools.
• Spearhead the regional execution of global product launches, tailoring plans to regional conditions, regulatory mandates, and commercial priorities.
• Coordinate launch campaigns, customer events, and demand generation initiatives with Regional Marketing Managers.
• Manage regional beta programs and relay feedback to the central program team.
• Conduct regional sales training for new product introductions.
• Report on competitive activities, customer insights, application trends, and market evolutions to central product management.
• Engage in customer discussions centered on competitive usage, unmet needs, pricing sensitivity, and regulatory trends.
• Represent PerkinElmer at regional scientific conferences, trade exhibitions, and customer events.
• Provide regional contributions regarding product requirements, pricing insights, and application priorities for roadmap processes.
• Cultivate relationships with key regional customers, opinion leaders, early adopters, and high-volume purchasers.
• Assist key account teams with product-specific insights for tenders, framework agreements, and strategic accounts.
• Collaborate with the Applications Scientist on customer demonstrations, method development, and application-specific support.
• 8–12 years of experience in product management, technical sales, applications science, or commercial marketing within the analytical instrumentation or scientific equipment sectors.
• Extensive working knowledge of at least one product line technology: atomic spectroscopy, chromatography, or materials characterization, and its primary regional application markets.
• Proven capability to function effectively as a field-based specialist, managing multiple concurrent customer and commercial priorities with minimal daily management oversight.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Willingness and capacity to travel extensively within the assigned region (40–50%).
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Physics, or a related scientific field.
• Advanced degree (MSc, PhD) in a relevant analytical or materials science discipline.
• Direct hands-on laboratory experience with analytical instrumentation in a research, quality control, or applications setting.
• Previous experience in a field-based role such as applications scientist, field sales specialist, or field marketing.
• Native or near-native proficiency in the primary commercial language of the assigned region where English is not the dominant language.
• Global service network and distribution center support.
