This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany, +1 more country.
β’ Assist the commercial team in the EMEA Region and contribute to the execution of the regional Inorganics strategy.
β’ Liaise between central product management and regional sales and marketing teams.
β’ Offer product expertise, competitive response capabilities, and insights into local market trends.
β’ Evaluate win/loss data and gather essential regional voice-of-customer feedback.
β’ Facilitate activities aimed at creating regional demand.
β’ Monitor regional KPIs and enhance financial performance while implementing necessary actions.
β’ Deliver real-time product expertise to regional sales teams, which includes technical and commercial support, customer demonstrations, and key account meetings.
β’ Oversee regional competitive strategies in response to competitor launches, pricing adjustments, and product claims.
β’ Assist sales management with product mix analysis, forecasting inputs, and portfolio utilization data.
β’ Engage in distributor management through product training, commercial support, and competitive tools.
β’ Drive regional execution of global product launches, tailoring plans to regional conditions, regulatory requirements, and priorities.
β’ Coordinate launch campaigns, customer events, and demand generation efforts with Regional Marketing Managers.
β’ Manage regional beta programs in collaboration with the NPI Product Manager and central program team.
β’ Provide regional sales training on newly launched products.
β’ Report on competitive activities, customer feedback, application trends, and market developments to central product management.
β’ Conduct customer discussions focused on competitive usage, unmet needs, pricing sensitivity, and regulatory trends.
β’ Represent PerkinElmer at regional scientific conferences, trade shows, and customer events.
β’ Contribute regional insights on product requirements, pricing feedback, and application priorities for roadmap processes.
β’ Establish and nurture relationships with key regional customers and opinion leaders.
β’ Support key account teams with major tenders, framework agreements, and strategic accounts.
β’ Collaborate with the Applications Scientist on customer demonstrations, method development, and application-specific assistance.
β’ 5β10 years of experience in product management, technical sales, applications science, or commercial marketing within the fields of analytical instrumentation or scientific equipment.
β’ Comprehensive working knowledge of at least one product line technology: atomic spectroscopy, chromatography, or materials characterization, along with its key regional application markets.
β’ Proven ability to operate effectively as a field-based specialist, juggling multiple concurrent customer and commercial priorities with minimal day-to-day management oversight.
β’ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
β’ Capacity to engage with regional sales teams, distributors, and customers across a variety of technical and commercial contexts.
β’ Willingness and capability to travel extensively within the designated region (40β50%).
β’ Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Physics, or a related scientific field.
β’ Advanced degree (MSc, PhD) in a relevant analytical or materials science discipline is preferred.
β’ Direct hands-on laboratory experience with analytical instrumentation in research, QC, or applications settings is preferred.
β’ Previous field-based experience as an applications scientist, field sales specialist, or field marketer is preferred.
β’ Native or near-native proficiency in the primary commercial language of the assigned region where English is not the dominant language is preferred.
β’ Access to a global service network and distribution centers that support customer solutions.
β’ Opportunities for extensive travel within the assigned region (40β50%).
