Regional Operations Director

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Manage the operational facets of veterinary hospital functions while ensuring a robust medical environment.

• Assist Hospital Managers and Medical Directors in achieving objectives and nurturing an outstanding service culture and workplace atmosphere.

• Engage in a variety of tasks associated with hospital operations.

• Work collaboratively with the Regional Medical Director and Regional Technician Director to provide support to specialty hospitals.

• Maintain accountability for the hospital's profit and loss statements.

• Supervise veterinary hospitals, including veterinarians, technicians, and other support staff.

• Directly manage over 25 reports, including Hospital Managers and Medical Directors.

• Spearhead the transition and integration of newly acquired veterinary practices into the region.

• Facilitate the expansion and renovation of veterinary hospitals to enhance service offerings.

• Build and nurture relationships within the veterinary community.

• Assist in the recruitment of medical professionals in collaboration with Talent Acquisition to enhance patient and client services.

⛳️ Requirements

• Previous leadership experience in a multi-site operational business.

• Veterinary site management experience is preferred.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Demonstrated experience in building high-performing teams.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and handle high-stress levels in an environment with shifting priorities.

• Proven track record of driving revenue growth.

• Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

• Advanced degrees or credentials (MBA, CVPM, etc.) are strongly preferred.

• At least 3 years of progressive leadership experience.

• Success in engaging with veterinary professionals.

• Capability to work on a computer for extended periods.

• Flexibility in scheduling and availability hours.

• Willingness to travel daily within the region, including overnight or out-of-area travel several times a year.

• Willingness to work more than 40 hours per week as needed.
