Regional Medical Scientific Director, Virology (HIV)

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Identify, establish, and nurture collaborative relationships with scientific leaders and investigators.

• Engage in peer-level scientific discussions while maintaining a dependable Medical Affairs contact presence.

• Participate in proactive non-product scientific dialogues regarding disease states, diagnosis, epidemiology, unmet medical needs, and population health.

• Facilitate the exchange of scientific information and convert knowledge into actionable insights.

• Communicate stakeholder perspectives, insights, and feedback to Medical Affairs headquarters teams.

• Represent Research and Development at scientific meetings and congresses.

• Contribute to debriefings, insight discussions, and post-congress reports.

• Develop and implement territory plans that align with the global Virology/HIV strategy.

• Support data generation initiatives, including the Investigator Study Program.

• Collaborate with investigators involved in investigator-initiated research.

• Identify investigators for phase II-IV clinical development programs.

• Provide scientific support for company-sponsored trials.

• Offer in-depth scientific assistance to Health Systems Teams within USMA.

• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of diseases and therapeutic areas through conferences, workshops, and journal reviews.

• Adhere to company policies, laws, regulations, and ethical standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• An advanced degree (MD, PhD, DNP, Doctoral PA-C, DO, or PharmD) pertinent to Virology/HIV and the role.

• At least 3 years of prior experience in the biotech/pharmaceutical or clinical settings.

• A minimum of 3 years of clinical and/or research experience beyond the terminal degree in Virology/HIV or a closely related therapeutic area.

• Proven scientific excellence in Virology/HIV or a related therapeutic field.

• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, networking, and presentation abilities.

• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time, including overnight stays.

• Must reside within the coverage region.

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) is preferred.

• Open to US and Puerto Rico residents only.

• A valid driving license is required.
