This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Implement the field sales strategy for a designated Comfort Medical region to achieve Coloplast Direct business objectives in the US.

• Recruit, mentor, develop, and oversee Comfort Medical field sales representatives.

• Play a role in the advancement of regional coverage, sales execution, and internal collaboration.

• Provide insights on incentive structures, communication strategies, and execution methods.

• Propel regional sales results, KPIs, sales goals, and quotas.

• Track account performance and adjust strategies when targets are not achieved.

• Advocate for change initiatives to enhance sales effectiveness.

• Convert business strategies into actionable objectives and tactics.

• Formulate plans that encompass budget, staffing, and account responsibilities.

• Oversee top-line sales and bottom-line profit accountability, including operating income and expenses.

• Prepare and follow up on sales projections, budgets, and operational costs.

• Develop contingency plans and establish efficient procedures.

• Review and refresh sales databases such as Salesforce.com, Bright Tree, and Power BI.

• Recommend sales quotas for representatives.

• Assemble teams with skilled, experienced, and ethical personnel.

• Align resources with strategic goals.

• Provide tools, support, leadership, performance monitoring, feedback, coaching, and disciplinary measures as necessary.

• Ensure adherence to PHI and relevant laws, rules, and regulations.

• Set ambitious targets, acknowledge performance, and hold the team accountable.

• Serve as a liaison between the sales force and sales operations, training, and other organizational departments.

• Influence upper management decisions and develop mutually beneficial solutions.

• Foster customer loyalty and strategic relationships with key customers and employees.

• Identify strategic business opportunities.

• Address customer concerns and enhance customer service.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• BA or BS or a higher academic degree.

• 5+ years of successful DME sales experience OR 2+ years of medical sales management experience with a proven track record and 3+ years of general med tech sales experience.

• Willingness and capability to travel, including overnight stays — 60%–75%.

• Reside within the sales region or in reasonable proximity to it.

• Valid driver’s license.

• Ability to positively coach sales teams in a complex and highly competitive environment.

• Adaptability and a willingness to embrace change.

• Strong business acumen and analytical capabilities.

• Skills in reporting, strategic planning, and project management at both account and regional levels.

• Capacity to develop strong knowledge of products, reimbursement processes, and services.

• Awareness of current and emerging industry trends, technologies, competitors, and market positioning.

• Proactive, responsive, and focused on high performance and results.

• Ability to consistently work, manage, and lead with ethical integrity in accordance with applicable laws and policies.

• Skill in nurturing relationships with internal and external customers through consultative approaches.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to listen, articulate, and advocate effectively.

• Proficient in computer skills, including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and CRM databases.
