Regional Machine Safety Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Ensure adherence to relevant external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

• Lead assessments of machine risks and determine effective mitigation strategies.

• Implement solutions for machine safeguarding to enhance safety and operational efficiency.

• Provide expert technical guidance on machine safety standards, regulations, and best practices.

• Support capital projects, equipment modifications, and facility upgrades with a focus on safety.

• Investigate incidents related to machines and formulate corrective and preventive measures.

• Conduct training and awareness initiatives to boost machine safety knowledge within teams.

• Drive initiatives for continuous improvement aimed at risk reduction and process enhancement.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create strategies for preventive maintenance and safety reliability.

• Work in conjunction with Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, and Project teams across various operations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

• At least 5 years of experience in machine safety, industrial maintenance, manufacturing, or risk assessment.

• Proficient understanding of ANSI, ISO, and other relevant machine safety standards.

• Capability to interpret electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical system diagrams and schematics.

• Excellent communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement abilities.

• ANSI, TÜV, or other machine safety certifications are preferred, or a willingness to pursue certification.
