This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Act as the representative of Manulife Bank’s specialized lending team within a designated territory.
• Advocate for and provide support for specialized lending products and related banking solutions in collaboration with Financial Advisors.
• Compile comprehensive packages for underwriting that showcase transaction knowledge, the advisor’s financial strategy, the client’s business, and the justification for bank involvement.
• Play a role in regional and national business growth by promoting new products, product enhancements, and special initiatives through various communication methods including phone, electronic, and in-person presentations.
• Enhance and boost territory profitability through consistent engagement with advisors and the expansion of relationships.
• Assist financial advisors by collaborating with centers of influence, professional advisors, and end clients.
• Showcase the advantages of integrating specialized lending solutions with advisors’ insurance and investment offerings.
• Identify opportunities for operational improvements and contribute to enhancing organizational efficiency and effectiveness.
• Communicate field insights and suggestions for refining existing products and services and for creating new product opportunities.
• Report directly to the AVP, Head of Specialized Lending Solutions.
• Exceptional consultative sales skills, including prospecting, fact-finding, presenting solutions, closing, and providing service.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in business or commercial banking.
• Strong capability to interpret and evaluate corporate financial statements in accordance with bank policies.
• Highly organized and self-motivated.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Proficient presentation skills across various platforms.
• Familiarity with permanent life insurance.
• Ability to learn and apply technology for business needs.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the financial services and banking sector.
• Willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
• Capacity to manage multiple tasks across diverse responsibilities while effectively organizing and prioritizing workloads.
• Experience in coordinating banking initiatives across various distribution channels and collaborating directly with advisors, professionals, and clients.
• Ability to evaluate the potential for bank involvement in a lending proposal following initial review and analysis.
• Experience working closely with Manulife Private Wealth, Retail, Insurance, and Securities partners.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and French is an asset; required for successful candidates in Québec.
