Regional Director of Development

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Build and oversee a portfolio of potential donors to identify, nurture, solicit, and secure major contributions of $50,000 or more for key funding initiatives.

• Utilize prospect research, fundraising skills, creativity, and intuition to discover and cultivate potential benefactors.

• Manage relationships with donors through in-person and virtual meetings, successfully securing major gift solicitations.

• Maintain the prospect management database by updating donor strategies, contacts, and outcomes.

• Create and implement regional engagement strategies that encompass donor identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.

• Collaborate with college and unit development officers on relationship management and fundraising strategies.

• Work in partnership with colleges, schools, units, and central advancement offices.

• Offer market insights and suggestions to Advancement leadership regarding philanthropic opportunities and trends.

• Assist in fundraising activities in a designated secondary market while optimizing prospect engagement and travel efficiency.

• Utilize reliable data, analytics, and authorized AI-enabled tools in line with university policies and ethical standards.

• Execute related duties as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.

• Five years of experience in development or other relevant professional fields.

• Four years of direct experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor’s degree under the Degree Equivalency Clause.

• Must fulfill all employment eligibility criteria within the U.S.

• Must adhere to any necessary licensure, certification, or registration requirements, if applicable.

• This position may require a Level 1 or Level 2 criminal background check.
