Regional Director of Development

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.

📋 Description

• Develop and oversee a portfolio of potential donors to identify, nurture, solicit, and secure significant contributions of $50,000 or more.

• Utilize prospect research, fundraising knowledge, creativity, and intuition to identify and engage potential donors.

• Manage relationships with donors through in-person and virtual meetings, successfully closing major gift solicitations.

• Update and maintain the prospect management database with strategies, contacts, and outcomes related to donors.

• Create and implement regional engagement strategies focused on donor identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.

• Collaborate with college and unit development officers to enhance relationship management and fundraising strategies.

• Contribute to the fundraising efforts of the Regional Development team.

• Work together with colleges, schools, units, and central advancement offices.

• Provide market insights and recommendations to the Advancement leadership team.

• Support fundraising initiatives in a designated secondary market while ensuring effective management of prospect activities and travel.

• Employ reliable data, analytics, and approved AI-enabled tools in line with university policies and ethical standards.

• Perform other related duties as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.

• 5 years of experience in development or similar relevant professional experience.

• Four years of direct experience can be considered as a substitute for a bachelor's degree under the Degree Equivalency Clause.

• Must fulfill all employment eligibility criteria in the U.S.

• Capability to build and manage a portfolio of major gift prospects.

• Expertise in prospect research and fundraising.

• Experience in managing donor relationships and executing major gift solicitations.

• Proficiency in using prospect management databases, reliable data, analytics, and approved AI-enabled tools.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with college, unit, and central advancement offices.

• May be required to undergo a Level 1 or Level 2 criminal background check.
