Regional Director – Memory Care Operations, Programming

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Mentor and guide Memory Care Directors, Programming Leaders, and community leadership teams across various locations

• Act as a subject-matter expert in memory care operations, dementia care, resident engagement, and person-centered programming

• Perform onsite community visits, operational evaluations, leadership coaching, and program assessments

• Educate community teams on best practices in dementia care and innovative resident-engagement strategies, including Montessori-inspired programming

• Assess resident engagement, quality outcomes, staffing models, and overall program efficiency

• Ensure that memory care programming aligns with organizational standards and relevant state regulations

• Identify performance gaps and create actionable improvement strategies

• Collaborate with Operations, Clinical, Sales, and community leadership to enhance resident satisfaction, family involvement, and occupancy rates

• Offer support during the opening of new communities, leadership changes, and operational transformations

• Remain updated on the latest dementia-care research, regulatory updates, and evolving best practices

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 5 years of progressive leadership experience in Memory Care or Dementia Care

• Preference for candidates with multi-site, regional, or corporate senior living leadership experience

• In-depth knowledge of Alzheimer's disease, dementia care, behavior management, and person-centered programming

• Experience in implementing Montessori-inspired or similar resident-engagement models

• Proven ability to coach, mentor, train, and develop leaders at the community level

• Excellent presentation, facilitation, organizational, and project-management skills

• Capability to evaluate operational performance and convert findings into actionable improvement plans

• Comfortable working independently in a highly visible field-based leadership role

• Preferred Bachelor's degree in Recreation Therapy, Social Work, Human Services, Nursing, Psychology, Gerontology, or a related field

• Professional certifications such as Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP), CTRS, ADC, or other dementia-care credentials are strongly preferred

• Must live within the Central or Eastern Time Zone

• Willingness to travel up to 80%, including frequent overnight trips
