Regional Director

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Supervise local volunteer chapters in Kentucky and Tennessee.

• Coordinate Big Game banquets, special events, and various grassroots fundraising initiatives.

• Recruit, train, and retain volunteers effectively.

• Manage the review and recommendation stages of RMEF’s granting program in Kentucky and Tennessee.

• Lead, organize, and guide local chapter committees in planning and executing in-person fundraising activities and events.

• Ensure that chapters comply with RMEF operating policies, procedures, and financial reporting standards.

• Plan and carry out an annual in-person volunteer workshop, which includes grassroots fundraising training and recognition for chapters and volunteers.

• Chair or co-chair the state-level RMEF granting process, encompassing solicitation, review, and project funding recommendations.

• Direct the recruitment of volunteers and provide grassroots fundraising training across chapters.

• Accurately complete, maintain, and submit necessary records, reports, and paperwork on schedule.

• Address inquiries regarding RMEF activities and programs within the designated region.

• Ensure adherence to state nonprofit and charitable fundraising laws and requirements.

• Initiate new chapters and in-person fundraising events to promote sustainable net revenue growth.

• Collaborate closely with regional, state, and chapter chairs while providing support to the regional team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Marketing, Fundraising, Communications, or a related field.

• Five additional years of professional experience in a business environment.

• Preferred experience in working with volunteers and fundraising.

• Must reside in Kentucky or Tennessee.

• Willingness to travel frequently on weekdays and weekends.

• Capability to work any day of the week, including weekends.

• Ability to work late hours, often extending past midnight.

• Capability to sit for long durations in a car or airplane, and stand for 2–6 hours.

• Proficiency in working at a computer terminal for extended periods.

• Ability to lift heavy items weighing up to 50 pounds.

• Possession of a valid state driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record.

• Comprehensive knowledge and support of RMEF’s mission, goals, organizational structure, and activities.

• Understanding of the role of hunting in wildlife management and conservation.

• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.

• Capability to address large groups effectively.

• Ability to lead and inspire volunteers.

• Capacity to work independently as well as in a collaborative environment.

• Skill in resolving conflicts, adapting to shifting priorities, and managing multiple tasks concurrently.

• Willingness to travel extensively and work flexible hours.

• Proficiency in forecasting annual fundraising income and managing operating expense budgets.

• Familiarity with web-based software platforms and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
