Refrigeration Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Diagnose and repair refrigeration systems for supermarkets and commercial applications.

• Troubleshoot parallel rack systems and associated refrigeration controls.

• Conduct preventative maintenance and respond to emergency service requests.

• Work on walk-in coolers, freezers, display cases, and related equipment.

• Read and interpret wiring diagrams along with refrigeration schematics.

• Communicate in a professional manner with both customers and team members.

• Complete work orders, notes, and documentation accurately.

• Organize and maintain inventory within the company vehicle.

• Adhere to company safety protocols and operational procedures.

• Participate in on-call rotations as required.

• Deliver prompt, professional, and high-quality service to commercial clients.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial refrigeration is preferred.

• Proficiency with rack refrigeration systems is necessary.

• Experience with EMS (Energy Management Systems) and controls is preferred.

• EPA Certification is mandatory.

• Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

• Strong skills in electrical and refrigeration troubleshooting are essential.

• Ability to work independently and efficiently is required.

• Professional appearance and effective communication skills are vital.

• Capability to lift over 50 pounds and work in various settings is essential.

• Experience with CO2 systems is preferred.

• Familiarity with supermarket refrigeration is advantageous.

• Experience with equipment from Hussmann, Hillphoenix, or Zero Zone is preferred.

• Knowledge of controls and energy management systems is desirable.

• Experience with start-ups and commissioning is a plus.

• Willingness to commit to a 40-hour work week with rotating shifts from Monday to Sunday.
