Referral Coordinator, Patient Care Coordinator – Clinical Labs

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Conduct reviews of laboratory results and reach out to patients directly, making around 30 calls each day to provide updates on lab results, address baseline inquiries, and meticulously document information in eCW.

• Manage both inbound and outbound specialist referrals.

• Secure pre-authorizations as required.

• Monitor referral statuses to guarantee a seamless continuity of care.

• Act as a clear and compassionate primary point of contact for patients, particularly for older adults.

• Keep detailed and timely patient charts and task queues updated within eClinicalWorks.

• Employ Intermedia VOIP for making and receiving remote calls in accordance with practice protocols.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, basic laboratory panels/results, and overall clinical workflows.

• Preferred background in Nursing, Allied Health, or Pre-Med.

• Exceptional fluency in spoken and written English.

• Clear and highly intelligible voice with minimal accent.

• Previous hands-on experience in both Referral Coordination and Patient Care Coordination within a U.S. healthcare environment.

• Practical experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW).

• Familiarity with web-based VOIP phone systems (Intermedia or similar).

• A dedicated, quiet home office setup.

• High-speed wired internet connection.

• Computer equipment that meets security standards.
