This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +4 more states.
• Execute thorough threat emulation exercises, encompassing Red Team Operations, Purple Team Operations, and penetration testing.
• Simulate cyber-attacks to reveal vulnerabilities in systems, networks, and applications.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams during purple team exercises.
• Conduct lateral movement within target environments to evaluate network segmentation and access controls.
• Utilize local privilege escalation techniques.
• Imitate threat actors’ techniques, tactics, and procedures.
• Create and implement custom scripts, tools, and frameworks for red team operations.
• Perform reconnaissance to collect intelligence and pinpoint attack vectors.
• Assess cloud-based environments and identify weaknesses in configuration, access control, and data protection.
• Document and convey findings, risks, and recommendations in reports tailored for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Report directly to the Director of Cybersecurity.
• Over 5 years of hands-on experience in conducting penetration tests and serving as a red team member.
• Demonstrated success in red team and purple team operations.
• Proficient in compromising modern organizations, escalating privileges, moving laterally through intricate networks, and achieving adversarial objectives.
• Strong expertise in phishing techniques, social engineering tactics, and other initial access methods.
• Extensive experience in crafting comprehensive, well-structured reports detailing findings, risks, and actionable recommendations.
• Basic development skills in Python, Bash, Git, or similar tools for creating custom solutions.
• Relevant industry certifications such as OSCP, OSCE, GPEN, GWAPT, CISSP, or equivalent are preferred.
