Recovery Coach

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.

📋 Description

• Establish trusting and nonjudgmental relationships with clients founded on shared lived experiences.

• Leverage personal recovery experiences to inspire hope, motivation, and accountability.

• Collaborate with participants and the Holon care team to create tailored recovery plans.

• Connect clients with community resources, including housing, healthcare, employment, and transportation.

• Conduct strengths-based assessments to determine client needs and objectives.

• Advocate for clients within the justice system, care system, and other pertinent environments.

• Partner with Care Navigators, clinicians, and judicial contacts for integrated care delivery.

• Stay updated on best practices in peer support and recovery-oriented care.

• Ensure confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA standards.

• Participate in new initiatives and engagement strategies as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A person in sustained recovery with a minimum of one year of lived experience (strongly preferred).

• Certification as a Peer Recovery Support Specialist (PRS) or Peer Recovery Coach.

• Certification as a Peer Recovery Coach or PRS in Wisconsin; national certification from an accredited agency like NAADAC is also acceptable.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• 1–2 years of experience in a peer support role is strongly preferred.

• Lived experience or a close connection to someone in recovery is highly valued.

• Experience with justice-involved populations is advantageous.

• Strong empathy along with effective listening and communication skills.

• Awareness of recovery realities and challenges clients may encounter.

• Commitment to maintaining professional boundaries and ethical standards.

• Ability to thrive in a remote, fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
