This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as a liaison between established clients and the Bicycle Health program.
• Provide peer-based support through individual coaching and the facilitation of peer support groups.
• Accurately document client interactions in the electronic health record in real time during visits, ensuring a standard suitable for medical providers.
• Employ patient management tools to monitor client progress, sustain engagement between medical appointments, and record involvement in treatment and support services.
• Initiate discussions and educate clients regarding substance use, treatment options, and recovery processes.
• Share information about community resources, online support, and other pertinent resources available.
• Identify obstacles to participation and relay these to the relevant clinical team members.
• Consistently implement the Motivational Interviewing framework during client interactions.
• Maintain close communication with medical providers and support staff involved in the care of assigned clients.
• Attend and make contributions to assigned meetings.
• Assist in supporting program quality improvement metrics.
• Ensure consistent and predictable attendance.
• Carry out other duties as assigned.
• A minimum of two years of experience as a peer recovery coach, peer support worker, or addiction counselor.
• At least two years of experience in a medical practice or behavioral health setting.
• Proficient in documenting within an electronic health record and maintaining close communication with providers.
• Personal experience with substance use disorder treatment and recovery, whether through personal recovery or significant personal/professional relationships with individuals navigating SUD care.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills for engaging diverse audiences.
• Cultural competence and responsiveness to the varied backgrounds and needs of clients.
• Knowledge of confidentiality standards for managing client information.
• Ability to practice self-care while assisting individuals with complex needs.
• Proven capability to excel within a multidisciplinary team focused on achieving company-level objectives.
• Willingness to travel up to 5% of the time.
• Consistent and predictable attendance is required.
• Capacity to work the designated Sunday–Thursday schedule and complete the four-week training program.
