This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Manages Credentialing for the Air National Guard Centralized Credentialing and Privileging Program Office.
• Collaborates closely with the National Guard Bureau (NGB/SGOK) and the Air National Guard Medical Service (ANGMS) on credentialing programs and processes specific to the Air National Guard.
• Completes and processes applications for healthcare provider credentialing and recredentialing, as well as privileging processes, in accordance with NGB/SGOK guidelines.
• Ensures that providers are credentialed, appointed, and privileged within Medical Groups, Military Treatment Facilities, and other locations as necessary for training.
• Evaluates incoming medical personnel in conjunction with ANG Recruiting and NGB/SGOK to credential and privilege providers.
• Engages with ANG providers, Unit Credentialing Managers, and full-time Medical Group staff.
• Maintains records for credentialed providers, including Regularly Scheduled Drills, deployment credentials, and verification records prior to expiration.
• Processes assigned applications and assists the ICTB Manager in maintaining complete electronic credential records.
• Collaborates with the QA/QC Manager during the processing of privileging applications.
• Serves as an Authorized Agent for the ANG to enroll, monitor continuously, and monthly disenroll providers in the NPDB CQ system.
• Partners with clinical leadership to enhance the ANG Clinical Quality Management program and ensure adherence to DHA-PM 6025.13 and AFI 44-119.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in medical/health systems, preferably within a Military Health Systems environment.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in the acquisition, maintenance, and review of professional licensure, privileging, or continuing education for military healthcare providers, or equivalent experience as a Civilian/Military Credentialing Manager.
• Exhibits strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with a diverse range of military personnel and audiences, including senior medical staff.
• Possesses knowledge and understanding of Air Force Instruction (AFI) 44-119, Department of War Instruction (DoWI) 6025.13, ANGMS Credentialing and Privileging guidance, and Defense Health Agency (DHA PM 6025.13) as they relate to ANG-specific procedures. Familiarity with other relevant Health Affairs (HA), Department of War (DoW), Air Force (AF), ANG, and Military Health Service (MHS) guidelines, processes, and procedures is also essential.
• Preferred experience with Centralized Credentialing Quality Assurance System (CCQAS) or equivalent Civilian credentialing programs.
• Ability to navigate military/government proprietary databases and applications.
• Bachelor’s degree or a high school diploma accompanied by an additional 4 years of relevant Credentialing training or Military/Civilian Health Services Administration experience.
• The position requires an Agency Background Check.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other office/data automation tools is essential.
• Remote/telework opportunity.
