R&D Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create and enhance new cooling solutions and refine current systems, such as chillers, CDUs, and associated technologies.

• Strategically plan and implement validation and performance assessments.

• Evaluate test outcomes and utilize data to influence design modifications.

• Develop and refine prototypes through hands-on work in laboratory and testing environments.

• Conduct calculations for thermal, refrigeration, and hydronic systems, along with component selection.

• Assist in the transition of innovative designs from research and development to production.

• Address issues related to design-for-manufacturability.

• Create documentation for designs, testing methodologies, and results in accordance with engineering standards.

• Integrate feedback from field applications into product enhancements.

• Report directly to the Director of Research & Development.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.

• Over 5 years of engineering experience in refrigeration, HVAC, or the development of cooling products.

• Practical experience in building prototypes and conducting laboratory tests on thermal systems.

• A solid understanding of refrigeration cycles, heat transfer principles, and hydronic system design.

• Capability to analyze test data and convert findings into design choices.

• Preferred experience in developing chillers, CDUs, or liquid cooling systems for data center applications.

• Preferred familiarity with controls development and system instrumentation.

• An advanced degree in Mechanical or Thermal Engineering is a plus.
