This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop backend services, APIs, data workflows, and applications powered by AI.
• Create model-agnostic coding agents and LLM workflows that incorporate human approval, prompt history, auditability, and controlled tool access.
• Implement architecture, UX, cybersecurity, testing, and deployment standards using automated policies and CI/CD controls.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, API documentation, and software bills of materials.
• Utilize AI-assisted analysis to evaluate and modernize application portfolios through replatforming, refactoring, retirement, preservation, or API wrapping.
• Merge human- and AI-generated code into automated quality, functional, security, accessibility, and compliance testing processes.
• Construct fortified AI development environments employing approved tools, isolated execution, restricted permissions, and secure containers or virtual machines.
• Design workflows that are compatible with Platform One, enforcing Iron Bank images, sanctioned cloud services, and Party Bus deployment requirements.
• Link user feedback, behavior telemetry, logs, metrics, and platform context to agents that pinpoint issues and prepare reviewed pull requests.
• Create platform-security automation to detect vulnerabilities and configuration risks, propose solutions, and generate compliance evidence.
• Collaborate with software, platform, cybersecurity, and mission teams to transition R&D prototypes into operational use.
• Solid software development experience, especially with Python.
• Proven experience in building backend services, APIs, integrations, or data-driven applications.
• Familiarity with generative AI, LLM applications, coding agents, or AI-assisted software development.
• Experience in DevSecOps, CI/CD, cloud-native development, or platform engineering.
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Git, automated testing, security scanning, and infrastructure-as-code.
• Understanding of application architecture, secure coding practices, code reviews, debugging, and software supply-chain security.
• Capability to independently navigate an evolving technical problem from concept through implementation and demonstration.
• U.S. citizenship with the capacity to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
• Active Secret clearance or higher is preferred.
• Experience with Platform One, Party Bus, Big Bang, Iron Bank, or DoD software factories.
• Familiarity with OpenCode, Codex, Claude Code, LangGraph, LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar agentic-development tools.
• Experience using FastAPI, Prefect, Temporal, PostgreSQL, vector databases, or event-driven systems.
• Knowledge of AWS, Azure, Helm, Terraform, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Argo CD.
• Understanding of NIST SP 800-53, RMF, DISA STIGs, CMMC, cATO, or other DoD cybersecurity standards.
• Experience with SAST, DAST, SBOM generation, dependency scanning, observability, or automated remediation.
• Background in modernizing legacy systems or developing software for classified, disconnected, or constrained environments.
• Experience in supporting defense, C2, ISR, mission planning, autonomy, or other national security missions.
