Radiology Reviewer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.

📋 Description

• Perform comprehensive and unbiased reviews of medical charts in line with established clinical standards and evidence-based protocols.

• Evaluate medical records and relevant documentation to develop clear and well-founded clinical assessments.

• Draft concise, accurate, and defensible written reports that support review conclusions.

• Conduct reviews in accordance with MMRO's quality benchmarks and stipulated turnaround times.

• Utilize MMRO review templates, ensuring that all necessary components are thoroughly and accurately addressed.

• Uphold professionalism, objectivity, and confidentiality throughout the review process.

• Respond swiftly to communications from MMRO clinical and operations personnel.

• Engage in mandatory reviewer orientation and ongoing training sessions.

• Integrate quality feedback provided by MMRO's Medical Director, Associate Medical Director, and clinical team.

• Contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives through constructive feedback and collaboration.

• Conduct objective medical record evaluations and offer evidence-based insights on diagnosis, treatment, disability, impairment, and medical necessity inquiries.

⛳️ Requirements

• A current, unrestricted M.D. or D.O. license to practice medicine in the United States.

• An active medical license in the state of Colorado.

• Board Certification from an American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) or American Osteopathic Association (AOA) recognized specialty board.

• A minimum of five (5) years of full-time equivalent clinical practice providing direct patient care.

• Active clinical experience within the last three (3) years.

• Excellent written communication skills and a keen attention to detail.

• Consistent ability to meet established review deadlines.

• Preference for candidates with Interventional or Diagnostic Board Certification and/or Fellowship Training.

• Prior experience in performing peer reviews, independent medical evaluations, disability assessments, utilization review, or offering expert medical opinions is preferred.
