
Radiation Therapist – Outpatient

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Instruct and prepare patients for radiation therapy or simulations.
• Exhibit knowledge of treatments and relevant equipment.
• Prepare supplies and equipment to ensure accurate patient positioning and treatment.
• Evaluate patient pain that may hinder treatments and consult with physicians for intervention.
• Room patients and deliver direct patient care under the supervision or direction of a physician or RN/LPN.
• Document medical histories.
• Ready patients for treatments while taking into account individual age and abilities.
• Provide care tailored to patient needs.
• Adhere to departmental and radiation safety policies and procedures.
• Uphold infection control standards in treatment and patient care areas.
• Clean and disinfect treatment areas and change linens.
• Graduate from an accredited Radiation Therapy program.
• Hold IEMA/IDNS qualification in Radiation Therapy Technology.
• Possess ARRT licensure or be eligible for licensure.
• New graduates are required to obtain IEMA/IDNS qualification and ARRT licensure or eligibility within three months post-graduation.
• Preferred: Bachelor of Science degree.
