Quantitative Trader

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Perform research and construct quantitative models that describe and forecast market behavior.

• Analyze liquidity profiles, price fluctuations, and market microstructure.

• Model characteristics of order flow, including flow toxicity and classification of activity.

• Create algorithms for order generation and routing processes.

• Work in conjunction with engineers to implement trading systems in a production environment.

• Oversee daily operations of algorithmic trading systems.

• Adapt to evolving market conditions to enhance order placement strategies.

• Design and sustain simulation frameworks utilizing historical data to assess algorithm performance.

• Collaborate with engineering, data science, operations, and product teams.

• Establish new tools and pipelines while taking responsibility for trading outcomes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in quantitative trading, quantitative research, algorithmic trading development, or a closely related role within capital markets.

• A STEM degree from a prestigious institution.

• Proficiency in Python scripting.

• Strong knowledge of statistics, probability, stochastic processes, and quantitative methods.

• Familiarity with the Canadian equity market structure.

• Experience with low-latency trading technologies and methodologies.

• CIRO registration as a trader is considered an asset.

• Must possess legal eligibility to work in Canada or the United States.
