Quality Improvement Data Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct routine and ad-hoc analyses on operational datasets to identify trends, variance drivers, root causes, and performance risks.

• Design, develop, and maintain dashboards and reporting tools.

• Collaborate with Operations, Finance, IT, Quality, Compliance, and Product teams to investigate issues and create data solutions.

• Convert analytical findings into business implications and actionable recommendations.

• Assist in establishing standardized data definitions, conducting data quality checks, and developing KPI frameworks.

• Act as an analytics resource and data steward for new systems, workflows, process redesigns, and operational transformations.

• Create analytical models and forecasting tools to aid in capacity planning, performance enhancement, and evaluation of strategic initiatives.

• Identify opportunities for automating data collection, reporting, and workflow processes.

• Develop visual storytelling artifacts for both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Assist with regulatory, compliance, and audit-related reporting.

• Undertake additional duties and projects as assigned.

• This is an individual contributor role with no supervisory responsibilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or operations analytics.

• Proven experience utilizing data to support process improvement, operational strategy, or performance management.

• Familiarity with calculation methodologies and technical specifications pertaining to Star Rating (HEDIS, CAHPS/HOS Survey, Admin, Part D) and overall Medicare Advantage Quality Programs.

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Business, Information Systems, Economics, Public Health, or a related discipline, or 4+ years of directly relevant experience in lieu of a degree.

• Proficient in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.

• Experience with a Business Intelligence platform (such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker).

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Ability to translate data into actionable insights.

• Competence in communicating complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Understanding of workflows, KPIs, SLAs, and process improvement methodologies.

• Preferred: experience in healthcare, insurance, or regulated environments.

• Preferred: experience in cross-functional or matrixed organizations.

• Preferred: formal training in data analysis, data management, Lean/Six Sigma, or BI tools.

• Preferred: knowledge of Python, R, or advanced analytics tools.

• Preferred: understanding of data governance or master data management principles.

• Preferred: experience with automation, workflow optimization, or scalable data pipelines.

• Preferred: familiarity with Medicare Advantage, value-based care, or payer operations.
