Quality Improvement Advisor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Act as the main liaison and coach for healthcare facilities in the designated state.

• Identify opportunities to enhance patient care and outcomes.

• Execute improvement initiatives and attain healthcare objectives.

• Collaborate with nursing homes to assess needs and drive quantifiable enhancements in patient outcomes.

• Work alongside local, state, and national organizations to connect providers and patients with relevant initiatives and learning opportunities.

• Analyze quality data at the regional, state, and provider levels.

• Facilitate learning collaboratives.

• Offer technical support to nursing homes that are adopting evidence-based practices.

• Engage partners and providers throughout the healthcare continuum while aligning with state and federal healthcare quality goals.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in public administration, public policy, public health, or a related discipline is required, or equivalent experience (10 years in healthcare, an associate’s degree with 5+ years of experience, etc.).

• Experience in healthcare quality improvement is essential.

• Comprehensive knowledge of quality improvement principles, practices, and methodologies applicable to nursing home environments.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Familiarity with state and federal regulations affecting nursing homes, including CMS quality measures, value-based payment models, and accreditation standards.

• Capability to coach and facilitate improvement activities while providing technical assistance.

• Set up an Identity and Credentialing Tool (ICT) account and secure an active EUA ID; if not already obtained, complete the necessary training and acquire it within 60 days of the start date.

• Experience in nursing home or long-term care settings is preferred.

• A Master’s degree in public health, quality improvement science, health informatics, or a related field is preferred.

• Licensure as an RN, LPN, MSW, or CPHQ is preferred.

• Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams is preferred.

• Ability to manage project timelines, adhere to deadlines, and generate detailed written reports is preferred.

• Experience in translating complex data into actionable insights and narratives is preferred.

• Must not require sponsorship for work authorization now or in the future.
