Quality Control – Prepress

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Evaluate packaging and print files for technical viability and quality, encompassing color profiles, separations, overprinting, spot colors, bleed, die lines, and resolution.

• Compare print files with style guides, templates, and customer requirements.

• Examine packaging designs utilizing checklists and adhering to customer-specific and legal standards, including the German Food Information Regulation (LMIV) and the Cosmetics Regulation.

• Assist in the technical preparation of print files for flexographic, gravure, and offset printing methods.

• Collaborate closely with Design, Artwork, and Project Management teams.

• Detect errors early in the process and address them effectively.

⛳️ Requirements

• Completed vocational training in media design, print technology, or an equivalent qualification.

• Preferably, experience in prepress, artwork, or quality assurance, ideally within a packaging context.

• Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Acrobat.

• Familiarity with Esko DeskPack or similar tools is beneficial.

• Basic understanding of printing techniques such as flexographic, gravure, or offset printing is desirable.

• A strong focus on quality, complemented by a structured, precise, and conscientious work approach.

• A solid sense of responsibility, patience, reliability, and a true team-oriented spirit.

• Proficient in written and spoken German; English language skills are an advantage.
