Quality Control Coordinator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Perform continuous quality control assessments for reverse mortgage (HECM and Proprietary) and HELOC pipelines.

• Ensure compliance with HUD, investor, federal, state, and regulatory standards.

• Oversee pre- and post-closing quality control processes.

• Manage the selection of post-closing loans and coordinate file delivery for review.

• Monitor service level agreements and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.

• Address findings with the quality control provider.

• Identify loans that necessitate FHA Self-reporting.

• Recognize compliance risks and issues and report them to management.

• Analyze quality control results to identify trends and collaborate with Operations Management on process improvements.

• Summarize and document pre- and post-closing audit findings and prepare monthly reports.

• Relay audit findings and necessary remediation to management.

• Oversee external programs and vendors tasked with quality control responsibilities.

• Communicate alerts and updates on underwriting guidelines to the quality control vendor.

• Select loans for pre-funding quality control audits following final underwriting approval and prior to closing.

• Issue Operations clearance for closing.

• Assist Operations in addressing patterns of deficiencies identified during quality control assessments.

• Perform additional compliance-related tasks and other assigned responsibilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 3 years of industry experience in quality control, underwriting, or a comparable role.

• Experience with FHA/reverse mortgages is essential.

• Strong comprehension of mortgage lending regulatory compliance, including TILA, RESPA, Reg B, and Reg C.

• Ability to make independent judgments and employ problem-solving abilities.

• Capability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workloads to meet deadlines effectively.

• Proficient in working independently with a keen attention to detail.

• Exceptional communication skills and ability to engage professionally with both internal and external customers.

• Detail-oriented and highly driven to thrive in a fast-paced setting.

• Proficient in computer applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint.

• Must reside in an eligible state; Longbridge cannot employ candidates living in MA, CT, or NH.
