Quality Assurance Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Conduct both manual and virtual testing across a range of devices.

• Record test outcomes for the software development team.

• Develop tests aimed at uncovering software issues.

• Drive the development process to enhance performance and efficiency.

• Keep abreast of the latest advancements and trends in the industry.

• Collaborate with software developers to refine and enhance applications.

• Examine errors and bugs identified during testing.

• Research and evaluate similar products from competitors.

• Analyze specifications, requirements, and technical design documents.

• Investigate the reasons behind non-conforming software and instruct users on implementing solutions.

• Estimate, organize, prioritize, and coordinate testing efforts.

• Design, create, and execute automation scripts using open-source tools.

• Identify, document, and monitor bugs throughout the testing process.

• Develop and apply testing procedures for both new and existing products to fulfill client requirements.

• Communicate with internal teams to discern system needs.

• Oversee the results of the debugging process.

• Conduct thorough regression testing following the resolution of bugs.

• Exceptional attention to detail.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Effective oral and written communication skills.

• Excellent team player capable of working efficiently with minimal supervision.

• Basic skills in JavaScript.

• Familiarity with Git.

• In-depth knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.

• Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.

• Practical experience with automated testing tools such as Cypress.

• Solid understanding of database systems and scripting.

• Experience in an Agile/Scrum development environment.

• Background in performance and/or security testing.

• Fluency in French is advantageous.

• Proficiency in French is not mandatory.
