Quality Assurance Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Engage in refinement and planning sessions to proactively identify risks, gaps, and edge cases.

• Assess system and data workflows to establish testing priorities and methodologies.

• Utilize AI tools to enhance the speed of testing and analysis.

• Develop, sustain, and implement test plans, strategies, test cases, and automation scripts.

• Validate functionality across both software and hardware solutions.

• Rigorously evaluate, verify, and fine-tune AI-generated outputs for precision, thoroughness, and business relevance.

• Conduct functional, integration, regression, exploratory, and data-centric testing across various applications and services.

• Test REST and SOAP APIs while validating JSON and XML responses.

• Investigate defects through root cause analysis and data examination.

• Monitor defect resolution and communicate quality risks and testing estimates effectively.

• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Support teams.

• Document test scenarios, results, and observations.

• Identify opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, and AI-enhanced workflows.

• Participate in agile ceremonies, including standups, retrospectives, planning, and refinement activities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong capability to analyze data, workflows, and system interactions, while challenging requirements to clarify business rules and acceptance criteria.

• Proficient in test planning, risk analysis, test design, and execution.

• Experience in automating tests for web-based and distributed systems using Playwright, Selenium, or similar frameworks.

• Familiarity with standard development environments such as VS Code or IntelliJ.

• Experience testing REST and SOAP APIs using Postman, SOAPUI, or equivalent tools.

• Proficient in utilizing AI-driven tools for testing, automation, debugging, analysis, and documentation.

• Understanding of the strengths, limitations, and risks associated with AI tools.

• Strong critical thinking and engineering judgment to prompt, validate, and refine AI-generated outputs.

• Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Collaborative and proactive mindset.

• 3+ years of experience in QA or Quality Engineering within an agile development environment.

• A cellphone or personal device capable of receiving MFA texts or calls.

• An internet connection with a minimum download speed of 10 Mbps.

• Prepared to discuss all listed experiences clearly and confidently.

• Successful completion of a pre-employment background check, including verification of employment and education.

• Must refrain from using AI tools during interviews or assessments unless explicitly allowed.
