Quality Assurance Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Assess business and functional requirements for thoroughness, clarity, and testability.

• Design and implement test plans, test scenarios, and test cases.

• Conduct functional, integration, regression, end-to-end, and exploratory testing.

• Verify software releases against business requirements and quality standards.

• Leverage AI-driven tools to generate test cases, scenarios, and test data.

• Utilize generative AI to analyze requirements and uncover testing gaps, risks, and edge cases.

• Enhance defect analysis, root-cause investigations, and test coverage evaluations using AI-supported tools.

• Craft and optimize prompts and workflows for AI-assisted testing.

• Execute and sustain automated test scripts and regression test suites.

• Facilitate integration of automated testing within CI/CD pipelines.

• Collaborate with development teams to enhance testability and automation coverage.

• Record defects using defect-tracking software.

• Diagnose issues with developers and confirm fixes.

• Track and relay testing progress, quality metrics, and release risks.

• Work alongside Product Managers, Developers, and stakeholders to meet product quality goals.

• Engage in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.

• Contribute to QA processes, standards, best practices, and ongoing improvement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent relevant experience.

• 3–5+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance or Software Testing.

• Deep understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.

• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.

• Proven experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.

• Familiarity with test automation tools and frameworks.

• Experience in cloud-based environments such as AWS.

• Proficiency in using AI-assisted tools like Microsoft Copilot, GitHub Copilot, and Claude.

• Experience with API and performance testing is preferred.

• Background in enterprise software, ERP, financial systems, or SaaS applications is preferred.

• Exceptional attention to detail, along with analytical and technical problem-solving abilities.

• Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines for multiple concurrent projects.

• Capability to quickly acquire knowledge of products, interpret requirements, and provide solutions.

• Excellent team-building skills.

• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.

• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
