Quality Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Develop a comprehensive understanding of business processes and user interactions.

• Mitigate defects prior to reaching end users.

• Create high-caliber test scenarios that extend beyond predefined test cases.

• Conduct exploratory and risk-based testing.

• Implement Agile QA methodologies and shift-left testing strategies.

• Engage in test planning, estimation, and defect management.

• Grasp product specifications, user narratives, and acceptance criteria.

• Design and perform functional, regression, smoke, and exploratory tests.

• Identify, document, and monitor defects with precise reproduction steps and impact assessments.

• Work collaboratively with developers during defect management and root cause analysis.

• Execute end-to-end testing across various modules and integrations.

• Validate solutions and confirm the absence of regression issues.

• Maintain and refresh test cases, test data, and testing documentation.

• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospective meetings.

• Assist with UAT and production validation tasks.

• Recognize test scenarios appropriate for future automation.

• Maintain testing documentation, metrics, and quality dashboards.

• Champion quality best practices across various teams.

• Communicate effectively with designers, backend teams, product owners, support, and release teams.

• Report to the Team Lead.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3 - 4 years of relevant experience.

• Strong analytical and logical reasoning skills.

• Exceptional attention to detail and a desire to challenge the system.

• Robust understanding of software testing principles.

• Proficient communication and documentation abilities.

• Capability to comprehend business contexts and user implications.

• Ownership mentality and accountability for quality outcomes.

• Comfortable operating within Agile/Scrum frameworks.

• Collaborative spirit and openness to constructive feedback.

• Familiarity and experience with automation tools and frameworks such as WebdriverIO, Cucumber BDD, Playwright, or similar.

• Solid knowledge of test automation concepts.

• Understanding of .NET or JavaScript basics.

• Experience using API testing tools like Postman and Swagger.

• Familiarity with SQL and basic database validation techniques.

• Awareness of CI/CD pipelines and automation execution processes.

• Knowledge of accessibility or performance testing fundamentals.

• Ability to effectively collaborate as part of a globally distributed agile team adhering to Scrum methodologies.
