Qualitative Research Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conducts qualitative research tasks, designs study methodologies, executes data collection and analysis, and creates high-quality research outputs.

• Aids in proposal development, client interaction, and methodological planning.

• Generates technical deliverables that are ready for client presentation.

• Applies coding to interview and focus group transcripts in accordance with approved codebooks, utilizing a structured inter-rater process with documented reconciliation.

• Reviews and verifies transcripts against original audio, ensuring that at least 20 percent of transcripts are checked for accuracy.

• Oversees a continuous coding pipeline to keep analysis updated with quarterly site submissions.

• Integrates qualitative themes with the quantitative data available from each site to bolster cohesive findings.

• Composes site-level summaries, preliminary results, and supporting tables, figures, and graphics in formats requested by the CDC.

• Assists in refining the codebook and documenting inter-rater reliability.

• Creates content and case study materials for the replication toolkit.

• Aids in the construction of de-identified, analysis-ready datasets in collaboration with the Data Manager.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain the necessary customer clearance for access to systems, facilities, equipment, and property.

• Proven experience in coding qualitative data and utilizing qualitative analysis software (e.g., NVivo, MAXQDA, ATLAS.ti, or Dedoose).

• Experience with quality control of transcripts and verification against audio sources.

• Possesses a Master’s degree and a minimum of five (5+) years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Preferably familiar with mixed-methods integration and topics related to behavioral health or overdose.
