QA Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Design and implement a comprehensive testing suite for Flutter web and desktop applications, as well as FastAPI/gRPC backend services.

• Create contract and integration tests for essential APIs, which include payment processing, PIMS integrations, and internal services.

• Leverage LLMs to generate test cases derived from pull requests, specifications, and code differences, and curate and maintain the results.

• Utilize AI for exploratory testing to uncover edge cases and inconsistencies.

• Develop and sustain prompt libraries and replicable AI-assisted QA workflows.

• Take ownership of observability from a quality and reliability perspective, covering error budgets, alerting thresholds, anomaly detection, and resilience testing.

• Implement visual regression testing for both admin and hospital-facing user interfaces.

• Create and manage test data management strategies and reusable test utilities.

• Set up defect reporting, triage workflows, quality metrics, and release-readiness assessments.

• Work collaboratively with developers, product teams, and customer support to identify potential quality risks at an early stage.

• Enhance testing patterns throughout the codebase and assess and integrate AI testing tools.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in QA, SDET, or test automation roles with a focus on automation.

• Active and demonstrated experience utilizing AI/LLM tools in testing and reliability processes, such as Claude, Copilot, or Codex.

• Strong expertise in Dart and Flutter testing, covering unit, widget, golden, and integration tests.

• Preferred experience testing Flutter Web using Playwright or similar tools and/or Flutter Desktop applications.

• Proficiency in writing Python tests for FastAPI and gRPC services; familiarity with pytest is a plus.

• Experience in constructing CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, CircleCI, or similar platforms.

• Comfort in working with Flutter frontends, Python/gRPC backends, and third-party integrations.

• Knowledge of contract testing or API testing frameworks.

• Familiarity with production observability tools such as Sentry or Datadog, and understanding of reliability concepts including SLOs and error budgets.

• Strong product intuition to identify high-risk paths.

• Self-motivated ability to establish a quality function from the ground up.
