QA Engineer, Testare

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Qatar, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Develop, maintain, and enhance automated testing solutions.

• Engage in test automation, test design, and testing techniques for web, APIs, and backend systems.

• Document test strategies, test cases, test results, deviations, and quality risks.

• Analyze complex problems, identify root causes, and propose sustainable improvements.

• Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, business stakeholders, and other technical specialists.

• Utilize JIRA and Confluence for planning, requirements management, documentation, and tracking.

• Build, further develop, and manage scalable frameworks for test automation.

• Implement and maintain automated tests within CI/CD delivery pipelines.

• Conduct API testing for REST and/or SOAP-based backend systems.

• Develop test strategies, define quality risks, and drive quality assurance improvements.

• Work within agile development teams following Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe methodologies.

• Contribute to projects involving system development, integration, cloud, and digital payment solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in software testing and test automation in complex IT environments.

• Extensive experience with modern test automation frameworks and tools, such as Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, Mocha, Jest, or equivalent technologies.

• Proven experience in developing, maintaining, and enhancing automated testing solutions.

• Experience working in agile development teams, such as those following Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe.

• Strong familiarity with JIRA and Confluence.

• Excellent ability to document test strategies, test cases, test results, deviations, and quality risks.

• Deep technical understanding of API-driven backend systems, including REST and/or SOAP, along with experience in API testing.

• Capability to analyze complex problems, identify root causes, and suggest sustainable improvements.

• Experience in close collaboration with developers, product owners, business stakeholders, and other technical specialists.

• Strong focus on quality and high attention to detail.

• Excellent communication skills in both Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

• Highly proficient in SQL.

• Experience with programming and scripting languages, such as Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, C#, Scala, or similar languages.

• In-depth knowledge of test automation tools, test design, and testing techniques for web, APIs, and backend systems.

• Experience building, further developing, and managing scalable test automation frameworks.

• Familiarity with CI/CD and automated testing in delivery pipelines.

• Good experience with Git and code reviews.

• Experience with container technologies and containerized environments, such as Docker and Kubernetes.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Experience with API testing tools like Postman, SoapUI, ReadyAPI, or RestAssured.

• Ability to develop test strategies, define quality risks, and drive improvements in quality assurance.

• A strong desire for self-development and staying updated in testing, development, DevOps, and cloud platforms.

• Experience in contract testing, integration testing, distributed systems, performance testing, or test data management is a plus.
