Senior Manual QA Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the QA process for the product team from start to finish, encompassing test strategies, checklists, and test cases.

• Evaluate product quality through relevant QA metrics and indicators.

• Communicate QA status, risks, and plans to the team and stakeholders involved in the product.

• Analyze feature requirements early to identify gaps, ambiguities, and risks prior to development.

• Lead the release process as the designated QA and oversee deployment outcomes in production.

• Identify defects and manage them from discovery to resolution.

• Validate data directly within databases on a daily basis.

• Work in close collaboration with product, infrastructure, and business teams.

• Conduct product demonstrations for the Product Owner.

• Explore and implement innovative QA methodologies and tools, including AI-assisted QA.

• Continuously enhance the QA processes of the team.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in QA for server-side or backend applications.

• Strong skills in test design and analysis, including risk-based prioritization, effective test design techniques, and exploratory testing.

• Demonstrated experience in refining QA processes and leading such initiatives.

• Comfortable working in a mixed Scrum and non-Scrum environment.

• Extensive hands-on experience with microservice-based architectures.

• Proficient in using Postman and REST APIs.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and the ability to interpret GitLab CI pipelines.

• Experience utilizing Jira for structured defect management and reporting.

• Strong troubleshooting abilities to identify failures across frontend, backend, data, and infrastructure.

• Capability to analyze logs and observability data through ELK or Grafana.

• Proficiency in English and Russian at an Upper-Intermediate (B2) level or higher.
