QA Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Sri Lanka.

📋 Description

• Engage in storyboarding, solution design, and grooming sessions to comprehend requirements and provide constructive feedback.

• Evaluate business requirements, conduct static reviews, and create QA test checklists for new product features and functionalities.

• Generate high-level test scenarios and detailed test cases utilizing appropriate test design methodologies.

• Ensure that test cases are traceable to requirements.

• Assist in the development of API and UI automation frameworks while maintaining the automated regression test suite.

• Define testing strategies, formulate structured test plans, and oversee test activities.

• Carry out both manual and automated quality assurance test cases.

• Verify that developed functionalities meet requirements and conform to specifications.

• Monitor and document test execution results, analyze outcomes, and extract insights.

• Publish findings and communicate test execution status effectively with relevant stakeholders.

• Collaborate with the development team to investigate and address issues identified during testing.

• Create and sustain performance test scripts and execute performance tests as needed.

• Conduct non-functional testing, including security and accessibility assessments.

• Evaluate AI-driven and conversational features by validating response accuracy, data consistency, contextual relevance, workflow behavior, and integration with underlying systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in Quality Assurance.

• At least 1+ years of practical experience in Web application and API automation.

• Strong understanding of software testing processes, methodologies, and test design techniques.

• Proven experience in drafting clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases, as well as preparing defect reports.

• Experience with JavaScript-based test automation tools such as Playwright, Cypress, and Mocha would be beneficial.

• Familiarity with API testing frameworks like REST Assured and Postman.

• Previous experience with Git, CI/CD processes, and Bash Scripting.

• Prior use of Jira/Confluence for ticket and document management.

• Ability to uphold high-quality standards by balancing quality, flexibility, and timely delivery.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• ISTQB foundation level certification is a plus.

• Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter and Gatling would be advantageous.

• Experience in Application Security testing, such as Burp Suite, would be a plus.

• Hands-on experience with AWS, OCI, or other cloud service providers would be an added advantage.

• Practical experience using Generative AI/LLM tools to enhance test design, automation, debugging, defect analysis, and QA productivity would be a plus.

• Knowledge of AI/LLM evaluation techniques, including accuracy, relevance, consistency, hallucination detection, regression evaluation, and non-deterministic response validation, would be a plus.
