QA Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Qatar.

📋 Description

• Conduct quality control activities.

• Plan, estimate, prioritize, and coordinate testing tasks in collaboration with the team and the QA Team Leader.

• Design, develop, execute, and maintain test cases, scenarios, use cases, user stories, and test reports.

• Create comprehensive and structured test plans based on the existing Test Strategy.

• Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents thoroughly.

• Identify, report, and document failures and defects.

• Take ownership of assigned tasks and defects, ensuring resolution and retesting.

• Design, develop, debug, execute, and maintain automation scripts using the internal automation tool for each game.

• Address work-stopping issues and escalate to the QA Team Leader when necessary.

• Provide quality information to stakeholders for informed decision-making.

• Ensure that products meet regulatory requirements and standards.

• Test and assess performance efficiency, reliability, usability, security, compatibility, and portability.

• Continuously enhance QA-related skills and knowledge.

• Collaborate with distributed development teams, mainly those located in the United States.

• Test web-based casino applications for mobile devices utilizing modern frontend technologies and scalable architecture.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years' experience as a QA Engineer.

• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and the QA role within it.

• In-depth knowledge of software QA methodologies, processes, and test design techniques.

• Experience with client-side (mobile and web) and server-side (API and integration) testing.

• Clear comprehension of client-server architecture, request/response flow, and data consistency.

• Practical knowledge of OOP principles, database fundamentals, and basic algorithms.

• Working knowledge of SQL, including the ability to read queries, perform basic joins, and validate data.

• Proficient in using JIRA, Confluence, TestRail, and debugging tools such as Postman, Burp, Fiddler, or Charles.

• Excellent communication and troubleshooting abilities.

• Intermediate+ level of English proficiency.

• Familiarity with AI-powered tools like ChatGPT, Copilot, or Claude is a plus.

• Experience with version control systems such as SVN or Git is an advantage.

• Previous experience with Bamboo or Jenkins is beneficial.

• Knowledge of tools like Chrome DevTools, Xcode, Android Studio, and BrowserStack is advantageous.
