Quality Assurance Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pakistan.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and implement thorough test plans, test cases, and testing methodologies.

• Conduct functional, regression, integration, smoke, exploratory, and user acceptance testing.

• Confirm requirements and ensure comprehensive feature coverage for both web and mobile applications.

• Identify, document, prioritize, and monitor defects until resolution.

• Execute API testing utilizing tools such as Postman.

• Validate request/response payloads, authentication processes, and data integrity.

• Perform database validation and backend testing using SQL queries.

• Create, maintain, and enhance automated test suites.

• Develop automation scripts using Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar frameworks.

• Assist CI/CD pipelines and automated testing projects.

• Continuously enhance automation coverage and the reliability of the framework.

• Employ Claude, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Gemini, or other comparable AI technologies throughout the SDLC.

• Generate AI-supported test cases, test plans, and testing strategies.

• Utilize AI to expedite exploratory testing and defect detection.

• Implement AI-assisted methods for generating automation scripts.

• Conduct defect triage and root cause analysis utilizing AI-enhanced workflows.

• Produce QA documentation using AI-assisted methodologies.

• Identify opportunities to enhance engineering efficiency through responsible AI integration.

• Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, and DevOps teams.

• Engage in sprint planning, backlog grooming, reviews, and retrospectives.

• Contribute to QA best practices, standards, and process enhancements.

• Assist in release validation and production readiness activities.

• Perform a practical AI-assisted QA assessment that includes analyzing requirements, creating test plans and cases, documenting defects, prioritizing testing, generating automated scripts, and articulating testing decisions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in software QA, Quality Engineering, or Software Testing.

• Proven experience in automated testing using Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar frameworks.

• Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, Agile, and Scrum methodologies.

• Practical experience in testing web and/or mobile applications.

• Experience in API testing with Postman or similar tools.

• Working knowledge of SQL for backend validation and testing.

• Proficiency in using Jira, TestRail, Zephyr, or other equivalent QA platforms.

• Hands-on experience with Claude, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, or similar Generative AI tools throughout the software development lifecycle.

• Ability to showcase AI-assisted test design and automated testing techniques during the interview.

• At least one recognized AI certification must be completed prior to joining AIM.

• Strong analytical thinking, communication skills, and attention to detail.

• Practical experience in AI-assisted test case creation, test strategy development, exploratory testing, defect identification and analysis, prompt engineering for QA use cases, automation script generation, AI-driven documentation and knowledge management, and the responsible and secure use of Generative AI technologies.

• Preferred: Experience working within CI/CD pipelines.

• Preferred: Familiarity with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.

• Preferred: Experience in testing cloud-native applications hosted on Azure, AWS, or GCP.

• Preferred: Experience with AI-powered products, copilots, agents, or LLM-driven solutions.

• Preferred: Knowledge of performance and security testing.

• Preferred: Experience collaborating with globally distributed engineering teams.

• Preferred Certification: Claude Certified Architect, Foundations.

• Acceptable Microsoft Alternative: Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Engineer Associate (AI-102).

• Relevant Microsoft Applied Skills certifications related to AI technologies.

• Other recognized Microsoft AI certifications.

• AB-730 may be considered a supplementary credential but will not be accepted as the primary technical AI qualification.

• All shortlisted candidates must successfully complete a practical assessment before advancing to final interviews.

• Candidates must complete a 45 to 60-minute practical exercise demonstrating AI-assisted quality assurance workflows.
