QA Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Qatar.

📋 Description

• Conduct manual testing of mobile applications on real devices running iOS and Android.

• Assess media workflows, encompassing photo capture, image quality, and visual data for 3D modeling.

• Evaluate the complete product functionality and usability, acting as a user advocate.

• Detect functional, visual, and edge-case defects across various environments.

• Examine defects using logs, tools, and reproducible scenarios in collaboration with engineering teams.

• Maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test cases and scenarios that align with requirements.

• Assist in test planning and coverage, focusing on regression scope and high-risk areas.

• Facilitate automation through BDD, Gherkin, and third-party testing services like Mobot.

• Implement risk-based testing and shift-left methodologies to prioritize testing, clarify requirements, and catch defects early.

• Collaborate on a solution that allows users to create interactive 3D building models using smartphone cameras.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 4 years of experience in manual testing, with a solid grasp of QA fundamentals.

• Experience in mobile testing on real devices for both iOS and Android platforms.

• Familiarity with testing web applications.

• Proven experience in media/content validation workflows.

• Strong analytical abilities, exploratory testing skills, and systematic problem-solving capabilities.

• Background in debugging and investigating issues using logs, tools, and reproducible scenarios in partnership with engineering teams.

• Experience in test planning, specifically in defining coverage, regression scope, and risk areas.

• Capability to perform end-to-end testing of complex systems.

• Comfortable leveraging LLMs as a testing and analytical tool.

• Excellent attention to detail and a customer-oriented mindset.

• Strong communication skills, with independence, teamwork, and proactive engagement in discussions.

• Understanding of automation strategies, including BDD and Gherkin-based methodologies.

• Experience coordinating testing through third-party services, such as device- or robotics-based testing.

• Background in industries related to 3D content, visual data, construction, or insurance.
