QA Automation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Create detailed test plans and test cases in collaboration with developers for new features and updates.

• Conduct manual regression and integration testing to ensure application functionality and readiness for release.

• Automate current manual test suites to achieve reliable and maintainable coverage.

• Design, implement, and enhance automated testing for web applications, APIs, and back-end services.

• Work closely with developers to validate implementations, uncover defects, and confirm resolutions.

• Assess completed work and offer QA approval for progression through staging and production environments.

• Recognize quality risks, technical obstacles, and gaps in test coverage early in the development process.

• Perform API, functional, integration, regression, and performance testing.

• Verify application data and back-end processes through SQL queries and database analysis.

• Analyze failures and unexpected behaviors using application logs, cloud monitoring tools, and diagnostic data.

• Promote the adoption of automated testing at unit, API, integration, and end-to-end levels.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance, with a strong emphasis on test automation.

• Proficient in at least one programming language such as Python, C#, or TypeScript.

• Familiarity with browser automation frameworks like Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar tools.

• Experience in testing HTTP APIs using tools such as Postman or other comparable API-testing solutions.

• Experience with performance and load-testing tools such as JMeter.

• Knowledge of unit-testing frameworks like pytest, Jest, NUnit, or similar.

• Strong SQL skills and experience with database tools such as Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio.

• Awareness of the AWS Console and services including ECS, RDS, CloudWatch, and S3.

• Basic understanding of cloud computing and microservices architectures.

• Strong technical knowledge of web applications, APIs, distributed services, and client-server architectures.

• Familiarity with professional software engineering practices throughout the SDLC, including source control, code reviews, build and deployment processes, testing, and production operations.

• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting abilities across application, database, and cloud infrastructure layers.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills with developers and other stakeholders.
