QA Automation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Cyprus, +3 more countries.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain automated testing suites for backend services and APIs.

• Enhance the test automation framework and the associated infrastructure.

• Create and uphold internal automation tools and utilities.

• Design and implement scalable solutions for test automation.

• Integrate automated testing within CI/CD pipelines.

• Analyze test outcomes, investigate failures, and conduct root cause analysis.

• Collaborate closely with developers, DevOps engineers, and product teams to enhance product quality.

• Increase test coverage, reliability, and execution efficiency.

• Engage in code reviews and establish best practices for automation.

• Contribute to the quality strategy and initiatives for continuous improvement.

• Assess and adopt contemporary engineering tools and practices, including AI-assisted development workflows.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in QA Automation (Middle) or 5+ years (Senior).

• Proficient in Python programming.

• Experience in developing and maintaining automated test frameworks.

• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, QA processes, and test design techniques.

• Solid Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.

• Practical experience with Docker and containerized environments.

• Familiarity with CI/CD systems (GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar).

• Understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, TLS, REST APIs, and client-server architecture.

• Experience in API testing, UI testing, and backend validation.

• Ability to read and work with technical documentation in English.

• Capability to effectively utilize AI agents for code generation, debugging, test development, log analysis, and productivity enhancements.

• Experience using LLMs to expedite test case creation, automation development, and incident investigation.

• This position is available solely under an employment (labor) agreement.
