This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.
• Design and sustain automated test scripts for functional, regression, and end-to-end testing utilizing Playwright.
• Transform repeatable manual test cases into automated tests to enhance efficiency and coverage.
• Run automated test suites and analyze outcomes to pinpoint failures and defects.
• Conduct manual QA testing in conjunction with automation efforts, ensuring a balanced approach as automation coverage expands.
• Oversee automated test executions and report failures or discrepancies in Qase.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Identify, document, and monitor defects in Jira with detailed reproduction steps.
• Assist in regression and release testing activities throughout the ongoing migration project.
• Execute API and data validation to guarantee accuracy and reliability.
• Contribute to CI pipeline execution of automated tests and share improvement suggestions.
• Document test cases, procedures, and known issues in Qase.
• Engage in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Keep abreast of testing tools and quality practices pertinent to the team’s environment.
• Participate in a large-scale, long-term migration and modernization initiative to rebuild an enterprise-grade web platform using C#, DHTMLX, and Vue.js.
• Conduct testing, enhance coverage, and deliver quality results in a role that balances manual QA and automation at a 50/50 ratio.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in software quality assurance or software testing, including at least 2 years in test automation.
• Practical experience with Playwright (strongly preferred) or similar tools such as Selenium or Cypress.
• Proficiency in at least one scripting language, with JavaScript being a significant advantage given the team’s Vue.js stack.
• Familiarity with C#, DHTMLX, and/or Vue.js to understand the applications under evaluation (deep coding knowledge is not essential).
• Experience using Qase or comparable test management tools (e.g., Xray, Zephyr, TestRail).
• Familiarity with Jira for defect tracking and GitHub for version control and pipeline integration.
• Strong comprehension of software testing methodologies, QA principles, and the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Ability to develop comprehensive, effective test cases and identify edge cases and risk factors.
• Excellent debugging and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience in Agile or iterative development environments.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in English; proactivity and clear communication are essential for this role.
• Self-driven and capable of working independently; this position requires an individual who is proactive in achieving quality outcomes.
• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Relevant certifications, such as ISTQB, are advantageous.
