QA Analyst – Keeper App, Backend & Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Create, document, and implement test cases for Keeper's backend services and RESTful APIs.

• Ensure the accuracy of MySQL queries, schema modifications, and data integrity throughout backend workflows.

• Conduct functional, regression, and integration tests on backend components that support EPM, Vault, and Admin Console.

• Utilize Postman, REST Assured, or similar tools to verify API functionality and aid in automated API testing.

• Assess system performance, scalability, reliability, and fault tolerance within distributed cloud environments.

• Work collaboratively with backend engineers, product teams, and other QA professionals to identify, diagnose, and rectify defects.

• Monitor and manage defects in Jira, maintain QA documentation in Confluence, and report test execution results through TestRail.

• Enhance automated backend and API test coverage as part of continuous integration and release processes.

• Verify security-critical functionalities and ensure testing aligns with Keeper’s quality and compliance standards.

• Leverage AI-assisted tools like Claude, ChatGPT, or similar platforms to facilitate test design, defect analysis, troubleshooting, and documentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of QA or software testing experience with a strong emphasis on backend and API testing.

• Proficient SQL skills, including the ability to write queries and validate relational data.

• Practical experience with API testing tools such as Postman, REST Assured, SoapUI, or similar technologies.

• Knowledgeable in automation frameworks for backend and service-level testing.

• Experience testing distributed, cloud-based systems, with a preference for AWS experience.

• Solid understanding of backend services, APIs, databases, and client-server application architectures.

• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities, particularly in isolating backend service and data issues.

• Familiarity with Jira, TestRail, Confluence, or other QA and defect management tools.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in an Agile development environment.

• Willingness and capability to effectively utilize AI-assisted tools for enhancing testing, troubleshooting, analysis, and documentation.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Candidates must qualify as a U.S. Person, defined as a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident.

• Preferred: Knowledge of Java-based backend systems and microservices architecture.

• Preferred: Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Preferred: Familiarity with performance testing tools such as JMeter, Locust, or similar platforms.

• Preferred: Understanding of secure software testing practices, encryption, and identity protocols like SAML or SCIM.

• Preferred: Experience in testing cybersecurity, identity, or other security-sensitive enterprise applications.
