Python Engineer, Mid-Senior

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain backend services utilizing Python and Django.

• Engage extensively with Django ORM and intricate database queries.

• Construct and uphold data pipelines and feed ingestion systems through XML and APIs.

• Implement background processing utilizing Celery and Redis.

• Integrate with external systems, including ATS platforms like Greenhouse, Lever, or iCIMS.

• Enhance PostgreSQL databases and optimize backend performance.

• Provide support for job distribution systems and data workflows.

• Diagnose and resolve backend issues across various services.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions.

• Assume ownership of backend features from start to finish.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in English, both written and spoken, at an advanced level.

• Significant experience with Python and Django, covering internals and ORM.

• Practical experience with Celery and Redis for asynchronous processing and scheduled tasks.

• Advanced expertise in PostgreSQL, including crafting complex queries.

• Experience with third-party API integrations, particularly with ATS platforms such as Greenhouse, Lever, or iCIMS.

• Background in building and maintaining data pipelines or feed processing systems.

• Capability to work independently and navigate through complex or legacy systems.

• Familiarity with AWS (preferable).

• Knowledge of PostGIS (preferable).

• Experience with machine learning integrations or predictive services (preferable).

• Familiarity with search tools such as Algolia (preferable).
