
Python Developer β Insurance Experience

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +28 more states.
β’ Design and sustain Python applications that support various insurance business processes, including Policy, Claims, Underwriting, and Billing systems.
β’ Create REST APIs and backend services.
β’ Connect applications with both internal and external systems through APIs and web services.
β’ Develop solutions for data processing and automation using Python and SQL.
β’ Work with relational databases and enhance SQL queries for performance.
β’ Build and maintain applications utilizing Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
β’ Collaborate with both business and technical teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions within an Agile/Scrum framework.
β’ Support cloud-based deployments and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) processes.
β’ Conduct unit testing, debugging, production support, and performance tuning.
β’ Implement secure development practices.
β’ Provide dependable applications and solutions that align with insurance business needs.
β’ Extensive hands-on experience in Python backend development, particularly in building REST APIs and backend services.
β’ Proficiency in developing applications with Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
β’ Strong background in SQL, relational databases, data processing, and query optimization.
β’ Experience in integrating applications via APIs and web services.
β’ Proven experience in supporting cloud-based deployments and CI/CD processes.
β’ Familiarity with unit testing, debugging, production support, performance optimization, and secure coding and development best practices.
β’ 7+ years of relevant software development experience (preferred).
β’ Prior experience with insurance systems or business processes, especially in Policy, Claims, Underwriting, or Billing (preferred).
β’ Broader experience with Python web frameworks, cloud-based deployment environments, or CI/CD processes is a plus.
β’ Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; visa sponsorship for employment is not available.
