Python Backend Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany, +3 more countries.

📋 Description

• Develop functional requirements in collaboration with clients.

• Work alongside UX designers to create and execute requirements.

• Design and implement efficient data-driven REST APIs using Python.

• Create comprehensive data pipelines and AI models required for APIs.

• Partner with front-end engineers to ensure seamless API integration.

• Assist in testing and resolving bugs.

• Aid in the development of tools that facilitate smarter and more sustainable product development choices.

• Contribute to Makersite’s platform focused on product lifecycle management and sustainable supply chain decisions.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience as a backend developer specializing in Python.

• Ideally possess at least 2 years of experience in a B2B setting.

• Comfortable engaging with clients to clearly understand their requirements.

• Proficient in Python frameworks such as Flask or Bottle.

• Experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS).

• Familiarity with RESTful services.

• Strong grasp of databases and SQL.

• Preferably experienced with graph databases.

• Competent in building data pipelines that handle complex data.

• Experience with large-scale enterprise applications.

• Residing in Germany or Europe.

• A degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.

• Successful candidates must be located in Berlin, Munich, Stuttgart, London, or Porto.

• Must have the right to work in Germany, Spain, or the UK.
