Purchase & Pricing Strategist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Thailand.

📋 Description

• Formulate and implement purchasing and pricing strategies tailored for the Thailand market to ensure competitive raw material sourcing, maximized margins, and robust supplier performance.

• Define and execute pricing frameworks specific to Thailand.

• Establish pricing principles, approval protocols, and discount/rebate structures.

• Facilitate pricing review meetings and assist in making data-driven pricing decisions.

• Track pricing performance, margin trends, and variations in costs.

• Perform scenario analyses and profitability evaluations.

• Suggest corrective measures to enhance value capture.

• Create sourcing strategies for raw materials along with category-specific procurement approaches.

• Cultivate relationships with suppliers in Thailand and the region.

• Assess supplier performance, risk, quality, and compliance.

• Analyze market trends in Thailand, competitor pricing, and cost determinants.

• Provide valuable insights to sales, finance, and leadership teams.

• Maintain thorough records of purchases, pricing documents, and documentation ready for audits.

• Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, and Operations teams.

• Assist commercial teams by providing quick pricing inputs for successful deal closures.

• Initiate cost-saving projects and negotiate advantageous terms with suppliers.

• Keep an eye on cost challenges and devise mitigation strategies.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.

• 3–7 years of experience in procurement, pricing, supply chain, or commercial strategy roles.

• Background in category management, supplier negotiation, or pricing analytics.

• Strong analytical skills with a focus on numerical accuracy.

• Proficient in advanced MS Excel (including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) and data analysis.

• Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities.

• Capability to transform complex data into straightforward business recommendations.

• Excellent cross-cultural communication skills.

• Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of working in time-sensitive environments.

• Strategic thinker with a fast execution capacity.
