This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Develop and implement public relations and content strategies targeting the Canadian market.
• Conduct research and create content for the Zoocasa Market Insights blog.
• Collaborate with media partners to enhance brand visibility online throughout Canada and the United States.
• Compose data-driven blog posts, website content, pitches, newsletter text, and other written materials.
• Gather, assess, and validate Canadian and U.S. real estate market data for internal teams and consumers.
• Support junior team members in establishing and executing methodologies for data-driven articles.
• Provide editorial assistance, including fact-checking, correcting spelling and grammatical errors, and ensuring consistency with Zoocasa’s brand voice.
• Investigate industry trends to bolster comprehensive PR and content strategies that align with business objectives.
• Build and sustain relationships with media outlets and journalists across Canada and the U.S.
• Compile media lists and assist with editorial scheduling.
• Write and distribute informative and engaging pitches.
• Address media inquiries promptly.
• Simplify complex data-driven content into clear media briefs.
• Collaborate individually with spokespeople to prepare them for media opportunities.
• Monitor and evaluate PR and content metrics to assess campaign effectiveness.
• Provide data-driven suggestions for enhancements.
• Utilize AI and infographics to deliver captivating imagery and data for written content.
• Stay informed on news and industry trends, adapting content and PR strategies in response to market changes.
• Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in content marketing, media/public relations, and/or journalism.
• Strong understanding of the Canadian media landscape, including key national, regional, and trade publications.
• Proven track record of pitching stories to Canadian media outlets.
• Experience in conveying data through visual formats, including tables, graphs, and infographics.
• Proficient in design tools such as Figma and Canva.
• Exceptional written communication abilities.
• Capacity to narrate a clear, compelling story from beginning to end using concise, impactful language.
• Self-editing and quality control capabilities.
• Eagerness to learn and develop beyond primary responsibilities.
• Ability to independently learn and conduct research.
